On September 21st, Nicaragua will celebrate a historic milestone. In the city of León, the Óscar Danilo Rosales Teaching Hospital will officially open its doors, taking the title of the largest hospital in all of Central America.

With over 400 beds and services across every specialty and subspecialty, this medical center is designed to provide completely free, high-quality care for the people. It’s not just about size—it’s about strengthening the country’s model of family- and community-based healthcare, which has been expanding in recent years explain government officials.
