As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing and growing our community, Playa Tesoro has recently added a medium-sized swimming pool next to the restaurant/rancho area, available for the enjoyment of all residents.
The restaurant area now features a medium-sized pool, a spacious dining area, a hammock zone for relaxation, and a social gathering space for events. It also includes public washrooms, a serene yoga area, direct beach access, and a private office.
The area is located at the beachfront right at the center of the common area.
In other news this year’s turtle hatching has just begun!
As in every previous year, the much-anticipated turtle hatching season at our sanctuary has officially begun. Each year, our sanctuary is privileged to witness the hatching of nearly 35,000 sea turtle eggs, a truly awe-inspiring sight.
These remarkable creatures begin their journey to the sea with the help of dedicated volunteers, many of whom are members of our local community. These volunteers play an essential role in ensuring the safe release of the hatchlings, guiding them from the sanctuary to the beach where they will begin their journey into the ocean.
What makes this process even more special is that these same turtles will one day return to the very beach where they were born, to lay their eggs and give birth to the next generation of sea turtles. It is a reminder of the deep connection between nature, the community, and the future of this species.
